Chinese 863 High-Tech Project "Robotically Assisted Minimal Invasive
Surgery System"
Designed and developed a 3D planning system which enables a surgeon
to plan and perform robot-supported neurosurgical interventions.
This system has been used by hospitals including Chinese Navy
General Hospital.
1998 - 2000
Chinese National Natural Science Foundation
"Real Time Navigation in Occluded Environment Based on 5D Light
Field"
A new 5D light-field representation for image-based rendering in
occluded environments was presented. A real-time rendering system
based on this model and algorithm was implemented.
1995 - 1999
Chinese National Natural Science Foundation
"Research and Application on Scientific Visualization"
Developed a parallel volume rendering system which enables
collaboration among various operating system, e.g., Windows95,
WindowsNT, Solaris, Irix, etc. This system has been used by
Departments such as China Meteorological Administration, Bureau of
Geophysical Prospecting (of China National Petroleum Corporation).
